Gebze Water Cabinet

The building was constructed in the 16th century by Husam Kalfa, the chief caliph of Mimar Sinan during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. Bostan water cabinet building was designed with a square shaped footprint. The building has high walls and a pyramid tiled roof. It was built to provide the water needs of the Coban Mustafa Pasha Mosque and the city of Gebze. On-site works were performed considering the destroyed wall and damaged structures of the building. OTS developed the strengthening design based on result of the structural analysis. ARMATEX (Glass Mesh-AR) and STEELTEX were used as strengthening methods.
